- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup brown sugar packed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup chopped walnuts optional
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla extract; beat until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined.
Stir in Rice Krispies, chocolate chips, and optional walnuts.
Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
