  • 1 lb fresh green beans trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon juice or zest optional
  • Red pepper flakes optional, for heat

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add green beans and sauté for 5–7 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for another 1–2 minutes, until garlic is fragrant and beans are tender-crisp.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon juice if using.
