  • ΒΌ cup Powdered Sugar For dusting the finished bites.
  • Vegetable Oil for frying Vegetable Oil Heat to 350-375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Preparation

  • Slice the bananas into 1/2 inch thick slices.
  • In a bowl, combine the pancake mix, milk, and egg. Beat the mixture until it is blended well.
  • Line a plate with paper towels and set it aside for later.
  • In a heavy-bottomed pan, fill it with oil to about 1/2 inch deep and heat the oil to 350-375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Cooking

  • Dip each banana slice into the batter and allow any excess batter to drip off.
  • Carefully place the battered banana slices into the hot oil and fry them for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown.
  • Once cooked, remove the banana bites to the prepared plate lined with paper towels.
  • Finally, dust the finished bites with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Notes

Fried Banana Bites are best served warm, accompanied by your favorite dipping sauces like caramel or chocolate. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheat in an oven or air fryer until warm and crispy again. Add spices like cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor.
