Preparation

  • Gather fresh cod fillets, eggs, and seasoned flour or breadcrumbs.
  • Create a dredging station with a bowl of beaten eggs and a separate plate with the seasoned flour or breadcrumbs.

Cooking

  • Dip each fish fillet into the egg wash, allowing excess to drip off, then coat it in the flour or breadcrumbs.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F.
  • Carefully place the coated cod fillets into the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
  • Fry the fish for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove the fried cod from the skillet and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil before serving.

Notes
