  • 1 lb smoked sausage or kielbasa, sliced into bite-sized rounds
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 oz pasta (such as fettuccine or penne)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Cooking the Sausage

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned and heated through, about 5-7 minutes.

Cooking the Pasta

  • In another pot, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet with the sausage, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.

Combining Ingredients

  • Toss the cooked pasta in the creamy sauce and sausage mixture.

Serving

  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
