  • 1 pound raw shrimp (peeled and deveined, tails off) Use fresh shrimp for best flavor, thaw if using frozen.
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 loaf bread (sourdough or French) Sturdy bread works best.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  • Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes.
  • While the shrimp cooks, hollow out the bread loaf, creating a bowl.
  • Once shrimp are cooked, spoon the garlic shrimp mixture into the bread bowl.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For storage, keep the shrimp mixture separate from the bread bowl. Store shrimp in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Warm the shrimp in a skillet before serving in fresh bread.
