Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz 225g linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb 450g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil optional, for sautéing

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter (and olive oil if using) over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  • Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side or until pink and opaque.
  • Toss in the cooked pasta, lemon juice, and Parmesan cheese. Mix well to coat.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
