Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz pasta spaghetti, fettuccine, or egg noodles
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 –4 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese optional
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley optional

Instructions
 

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In the same pot or a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  • Return cooked pasta to the pot or add it to the skillet. Toss well to coat with the garlic butter.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Optional: sprinkle with grated Parmesan and chopped parsley.
  • Serve immediately while hot.
