- 6 small turnips peeled and halved
- 3 tablespoons melted butter or olive oil
- 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare seasoning mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir to mix well.
Coat turnips: Add the halved turnips to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the seasoned butter mixture.
Arrange in baking dish: Place the coated turnips cut side down in a casserole dish or on a rimmed baking sheet. Pour any remaining butter mixture over the turnips.
Season: Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste over the turnips.
Bake: Roast in the preheated oven for 30–40 minutes, or until the turnips are softened and browned.
