Ingredients
  

  • 6 small turnips peeled and halved
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter or olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Prepare seasoning mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir to mix well.
  • Coat turnips: Add the halved turnips to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the seasoned butter mixture.
  • Arrange in baking dish: Place the coated turnips cut side down in a casserole dish or on a rimmed baking sheet. Pour any remaining butter mixture over the turnips.
  • Season: Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste over the turnips.
  • Bake: Roast in the preheated oven for 30–40 minutes, or until the turnips are softened and browned.
  • Serve: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.
