- 1 ¼ cups gluten-free all-purpose flour with xanthan gum if not already included
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter softened
- ½ cup brown sugar packed
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup gluten-free chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until edges are golden and centers are set.
Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
