Ingredients
  

For the Salmon

  • 2 lbs salmon fillets (skin on or off)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp ancho chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper

For the Avocado Salsa

  • 1 avocado (cubed)
  • ½ red onion (sliced or diced)
  • 2 limes (juiced)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Mix the salt, chili powder, cumin, paprika, onion powder, and black pepper together in a bowl.
  • Rub the salmon fillets with olive oil and then coat them with the seasoning mix.
  • Cover the salmon and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors blend.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the avocado, red onion, lime juice, and cilantro. Mix gently and chill until it’s time to serve.

Cooking

  • Preheat the grill to medium heat (around 350-375°F).
  • Grill the salmon for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until it’s cooked to your desired doneness.

Serving

  • Once cooked, top the salmon with the avocado salsa and enjoy your meal!

Notes

Serve the grilled salmon on a plate, spooning generous amounts of avocado salsa on top. This dish pairs well with rice, quinoa, or a fresh green salad. Avoid overcooking the salmon for best results.
