Seasonings

  • 1 tablespoon dried onion Basic seasoning for ground beef.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Basic seasoning for ground beef.
  • ½ teaspoon cumin For Mexican dishes.
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika Adds a rich flavor to beef.

Preparation

  • Start by thawing the ground beef if frozen.
  • In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat.
  • Add diced onions and sauté until soft.
  • Add ground beef, breaking it into crumbles. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dried onion. Cook until browned.
  • If making stuffed peppers, mix ground beef with instant rice and diced vegetables.

Cooking

  • For Beef Stuffed Peppers: Fill halved bell peppers with the beef mixture and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  • For Tacos: Serve beef in taco shells with toppings of choice.
  • For Beef and Broccoli Sandwiches: Mix cooked beef with broccoli and soy sauce. Serve on buns.

Notes

Storage Tips: Refrigerate unused cooked meat within 2 hours. Freeze in labeled portions for future meals. Cooked ground beef can be kept in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
