Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 3 pieces Ripe Hass Avocados Choose ripe avocados that yield slightly when pressed.
  • ½ cup Diced Sweet Onion
  • ½ cup Diced Roma Tomatoes
  • 2-3 tablespoons Chopped Fresh Cilantro Use fresh cilantro for the best taste.
  • 1 piece Lime (about 1 TB Juice) Adjust the lime juice to enhance the flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Minced Garlic
  • ½ piece Seeded, Diced Jalapeño Pepper (optional) Adjust to taste.
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Cumin
  • Black Pepper (to taste)
  • Cayenne (optional, to taste)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Carefully slice your ripe avocados, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh into a bowl or molcajete.
  • Add the salt and mash the avocado with a potato masher, fork, or tejolote until it reaches your desired texture—smooth or chunky.
  • Mix in the remaining ingredients until everything is combined.
  • Taste your guacamole and adjust any seasonings you may want to change.
  • Serve right away with your favorite tortilla chips or chill until you’re ready to serve.

Notes

Guacamole is best served fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container and press plastic wrap directly onto the surface to prevent browning. Consume within 1-2 days for the best taste. For variations, try adding diced mango or pineapple.
