  • 3 large ripe avocados Use ripe avocados for the best texture.
  • ½ cup diced red onion
  • ½ cup diced tomato
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 small jalapeño pepper, finely diced Seeds removed for less heat.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lime juice Adjust according to taste.
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Preparation

  • Add ripe avocados to a large bowl. Using a potato masher or a large fork, mash until nearly smooth.
  • Add red onion, tomato, cilantro, jalapeño, garlic, lime juice, salt, and pepper to the bowl.

Notes
