- 1 lb ground beef
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 large onion thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 ½ cups beef broth
In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for about 5 minutes per side or until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add onions and cook until soft and golden.
Sprinkle flour over onions and stir for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in beef broth, scraping the pan to deglaze.
Let the gravy simmer until thickened, then return patties to the skillet and spoon gravy over them.
Simmer for an additional 5 minutes, then serve hot with mashed potatoes or vegetables.
