Ingredients

  • 3 medium turnips approximately 450g, peeled and cut into ½-inch fries
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado or coconut oil
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Prepare the Turnips: Peel and remove the ends of the turnips. Cut into ½-inch fries, ensuring uniform size for even cooking. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  • Season the Fries: In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, black pepper, salt, and garlic powder. Add the turnip fries and toss until evenly coated.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Set the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) and allow it to preheat.
  • Arrange and Cook: Place the seasoned fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 8 minutes.
  • Flip and Continue Cooking: Shake the basket or flip the fries. Remove any smaller fries that appear cooked. Continue air frying for an additional 5–7 minutes, or until the fries are golden brown and cooked to your liking.
  • Serve: Enjoy immediately, optionally with a dipping sauce of your choice.
