For the Steak:
- 1 lb boneless steak e.g., sirloin or ribeye, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic minced
- ¼ teaspoon sesame oil optional
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 ½ tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 ½ tablespoons teriyaki sauce or mirin
For the Fried Rice:
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil
- ½ cup diced white onion
- 1 cup frozen peas and carrots mix
- 2 large eggs
- 4 cups cooked rice preferably day-old and cooled
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
For the Vegetables:
- 1 zucchini sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms sliced
- ½ onion sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste

Prepare the Steak:
Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper.
In a bowl, mix soy sauce and teriyaki sauce (or mirin).
Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat; add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Add steak pieces and cook until browned.
Pour in the sauce mixture and cook until the steak is coated and cooked to desired doneness.
Drizzle with sesame oil if using.
Prepare the Fried Rice:
Heat avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
Add diced onions and sauté until translucent.
Push onions to the side; scramble the eggs in the same pan.
Add frozen peas and carrots; cook until heated through.
Add cooked rice, butter, and soy sauce; stir-fry until rice is heated and slightly crispy.
Prepare the Vegetables:
In a separate pan, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat.
Add sliced zucchini, mushrooms, and onions; sauté until tender.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
