Ingredients
  

For the Steak:

  • 1 lb boneless steak e.g., sirloin or ribeye, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • ¼ teaspoon sesame oil optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 ½ tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 ½ tablespoons teriyaki sauce or mirin

For the Fried Rice:

  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • ½ cup diced white onion
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups cooked rice preferably day-old and cooled
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce

For the Vegetables:

  • 1 zucchini sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • ½ onion sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Sauces:

  • Yum Yum Sauce
  • Ginger Sauce

Instructions
 

Prepare the Steak:

  • Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper.
  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce and teriyaki sauce (or mirin).
  • Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat; add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add steak pieces and cook until browned.
  • Pour in the sauce mixture and cook until the steak is coated and cooked to desired doneness.
  • Drizzle with sesame oil if using.

Prepare the Fried Rice:

  • Heat avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  • Add diced onions and sauté until translucent.
  • Push onions to the side; scramble the eggs in the same pan.
  • Add frozen peas and carrots; cook until heated through.
  • Add cooked rice, butter, and soy sauce; stir-fry until rice is heated and slightly crispy.

Prepare the Vegetables:

  • In a separate pan, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add sliced zucchini, mushrooms, and onions; sauté until tender.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Assemble the Dish:

  • Serve the steak alongside the fried rice and sautéed vegetables.
  • Optional: Serve with Yum Yum sauce or ginger sauce on the side.
