  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200 grams)
  • cup unsweetened cocoa powder (28 grams)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour (68 grams)
  • ¾ teaspoon espresso powder (2 grams, optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder (1 gram)
  • teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (170 grams, optional)

For Baking the Brownies

  • ½ cup vegetable oil (100 grams)
  • 2 large eggs (100 grams, room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (4 grams)

Preparing the Mix

  • In a medium bowl, combine the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, flour, espresso powder, baking powder, salt, and chocolate chips.
  • Stir until everything is mixed well.
  • Store the mix in an airtight container or jar until you are ready to use it.

Baking the Brownies

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the brownie mix with vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Mix well until everything is combined.
  • Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Let cool before cutting into squares.
