  • In a large bowl, combine the water, vinegar, sugar, and pickling salt. Stir until everything is dissolved.
  • Pack the pickling cucumbers into a clean jar.
  • Add the smashed garlic, mustard seeds, and red pepper flakes on top of the cucumbers.
  • Pour the brine over the cucumbers, ensuring that they are fully submerged in the liquid.
  • Seal the jar tightly and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before enjoying.
