Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef 80/20 for better flavor.
  • 2 cups Short pasta (e.g., elbow macaroni, shells, or rotini) Choose your favorite type.
  • 4 cups Broth (chicken or beef) Homemade or store-bought.
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese Or any cheese blend that melts well.
  • 1 cup Milk Whole milk provides the best creaminess.
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato paste Adds tang and color.

Spices

  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper To taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Optional for a kick.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder For flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder For flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
  • Drain any excess fat from the pot.
  • Add broth, tomato paste, and pasta to the pot, stirring to combine.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente.
  • Once the pasta is cooked, stir in milk and cheese until melted and creamy.
  • Season with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder to taste.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the pasta to prevent it from becoming mushy. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days and reheated gently, adding a splash of milk to restore creaminess.
