Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts about 1 1/2 lb
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Cooking

  • Season. Pat the chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Sear. Cook in hot olive oil over medium heat 5 to 6 minutes per side until it reaches 165 degrees F.

  • Baste. Lower the heat, add the honey butter, and spoon it over the chicken for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Rest. Rest the chicken 5 minutes, then garnish with parsley.

Notes

Substitutions: Boneless chicken thighs work in place of breasts. Onion powder can replace garlic powder.
Tips: Pound thick breasts to an even thickness and check for 165 degrees F. Honey is not safe for children under 1 year old.
Storage: Refrigerate up to 3 days and reheat to 165 degrees F.
