  • 2 cloves minced garlic Enhances the flavor of the dish.

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil Adds richness to the marinade.

For the Salmon

  • 4 fillets salmon fillets Main protein source, rich in omega-3 fatty acids.

Optional Vegetables

  • 1 bunch asparagus Can be placed around the salmon while baking.
  • 1 cup broccoli Another great option for roasting alongside.

Instructions
 

Prepare the Marinade

  • In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil until well combined.

Marinate the Salmon

  • Place salmon fillets in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the fish, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  • Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for 30 minutes to an hour.

Bake the Salmon

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  • Place the marinated salmon fillets on the tray, spacing them evenly. Optionally, add asparagus or broccoli around the salmon.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily. Baste with remaining marinade halfway through for added flavor.

Notes

Feel free to substitute salmon with trout or cod and honey with maple syrup if desired. Leftover salmon can be added to salads or pasta dishes.
