- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- ⅓ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch optional, for thickening
- 1 tablespoon water if using cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for garnish
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley or green onions for garnish
Season the Chicken: Sprinkle chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Thicken the Sauce (Optional): If you want a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir it into the sauce. Let it cook for 1 minute.
Coat the Chicken: Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spoon the sauce over them, and let them simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped parsley or green onions. Serve warm with rice or vegetables.
