Ingredients
  

For the sauce

  • ½ cup ketchup Use your favorite brand.
  • cup honey Adjust based on desired sweetness.
  • ¼ cup brown sugar Brown sugar can also be adjusted for sweetness.
  • 2-3 Tablespoons soy sauce Use low sodium if preferred.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is preferred for flavor.

Main ingredients

  • 1 32-ounce bag frozen fully cooked meatballs (about 50) You can use homemade meatballs if preferred.
  • to taste garlic salt & pepper Adjust according to your taste.

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl or the base of a slow cooker, combine the ketchup, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
  • Add the frozen meatballs to the mixture and stir until they are well coated in the sauce.
  • Add a pinch of garlic salt and pepper on top, if desired.

Cooking

  • Cook on high for 2 to 3 hours or low for 3 to 4 hours.
  • When done, turn the slow cooker to warm until you are ready to serve.

Serving

  • Season to taste and enjoy as an appetizer or serve over rice, topped with green onions for a main dish.

Notes

You can add sesame seeds for flavor. Adjust sweetness as per taste. For variations, swap meatballs for grilled chicken or tofu, and add chili sauce for heat.
