Equipment

  • Skillet

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp neutral oil canola or avocado oil
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • red pepper flakes to taste
  • 2 green onions sliced

Instructions

Cooking

  • Whisk the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil in a small bowl.
  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned and no longer pink.
  • Stir in the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the sauce, add red pepper flakes if using, and stir to coat.
  • Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring now and then, until the sauce thickens and the turkey reaches 165 degrees F.
  • Top with the green onions and serve hot.

Notes

Refrigerate leftovers within two hours and eat within 3 to 4 days. Reheat until steaming hot. Nutrition is an estimate, and the sodium is higher because of the soy sauce.
