  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice Cuts the richness of the honey.
  • 1 tablespoon Butter Rich texture for the glaze.
  • 1 pinch Black pepper For seasoning.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Rinse the salmon under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Remove pin bones with tweezers and score the skin lightly if keeping it on.
  • Place fillets skin-side down on a plate for even marination.

Marinating

  • In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice.
  • Coat the salmon thoroughly with the marinade and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Cooking

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Place salmon fillets on the sheet, skin-side down, and brush with half of the glaze.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  • Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes to caramelize the glaze, keeping a close watch to prevent burning.

Serving

  • Let the salmon rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to settle.
  • Serve with seasonal veggies or over a bed of rice.

Notes

Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of the fillets. For a spicy twist, add red pepper flakes to the glaze.
