Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 box (18.4 oz) fudge brownie mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup hot fudge sauce plus extra for topping
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips optional

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, oil, and water. Stir until just blended.
  • Fold in the flour and baking powder until smooth.
  • Add the sour cream and mix gently to keep the batter moist and rich.
  • Swirl in the hot fudge sauce and chocolate chips if using. Be careful not to overmix; you want visible ribbons of fudge.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smooth the top, and drizzle extra hot fudge over the surface if desired.

Baking

  • Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean. A slight gooeyness is okay since it’s brownie bread.
  • Let the bread cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Hot Fudge Brownie Bread tastes best warm! You can enjoy it plain or serve it with vanilla ice cream and extra hot fudge sauce on top. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to a week. Microwave before serving to restore gooey texture.
