Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • ¼ cup water or tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Taco shells or tortillas
  • Optional toppings: shredded lettuce or cabbage diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend, red onions, guacamole or avocado, olives, jalapeños, sour cream, salsa

Instructions
 

  • Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat.
  • Add Seasonings: Stir in tomato paste, water or tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Simmer: Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Prepare Tacos: Warm taco shells or tortillas. Fill each with the seasoned beef mixture.
  • Add Toppings: Top with your choice of shredded lettuce or cabbage, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, red onions, guacamole or avocado, olives, jalapeños, sour cream, and salsa.
  • Serve: Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade beef tacos.
