Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Flank steak (or sirloin) Thinly sliced against the grain for tenderness.
  • 2 cups Broccoli florets Rinsed thoroughly before use.
  • ΒΌ cup Soy sauce For marinating the beef.
  • 2 tbsp Sesame oil Used for marinating and cooking.
  • 1 tbsp Minced garlic For marinade flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil For cooking.
  • optional Sesame seeds For garnishing before serving.

Preparation

  • Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain.
  • In a medium bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic to create the marinade.
  • Add the sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  • Prepare the broccoli by rinsing the florets thoroughly.

Cooking

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  • Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer and sear for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  • Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the broccoli and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until tender but still crunchy.
  • Return the beef to the skillet and mix well with broccoli.
  • Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

To enjoy the full benefits of this dish, ensure to serve it immediately while hot. Store leftovers in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to a week. Avoid overcooking the broccoli to retain its crispness.
