Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh lemon balm leaves or 2 tablespoons dried
  • 2 cups filtered water
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger optional
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey optional

Instructions
 

  • Bring 2 cups of filtered water to a gentle boil in a saucepan.
  • Add the fresh lemon balm leaves (or dried leaves) and grated ginger to the boiling water.
  • Remove from heat, cover, and let the mixture steep for 10 minutes.
  • Strain the infusion into a cup or pitcher to remove the leaves and ginger pieces.
  • Stir in the lemon juice and honey (if using) until well combined.
  • Enjoy warm, or allow it to cool and serve over ice for a refreshing drink.
