Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs) Can use thighs for a juicier option.
  • 1 teaspoon salt For seasoning the chicken.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper For seasoning the chicken.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking.
  • 1 tablespoon butter For cooking.
  • 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed For best texture and taste.
  • 2 tablespoons butter For sautéing garlic.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic for better flavor.
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) For heat.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons butter For the lemon garlic sauce.
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice Adjust to taste.
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning For added flavor.
  • Lemon slices, for garnish
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pat dry the chicken and season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Cooking

  • Sear the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove it from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the green beans, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Add 3 tablespoons of butter to the skillet, then pour in lemon juice and chicken broth. Stir in Italian seasoning and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Return the chicken and green beans to the skillet, coating them in the lemon butter sauce. Let everything simmer together for 2 minutes.
  • Garnish with parsley and lemon slices before serving.

Notes

For a little extra kick, add more red pepper flakes. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop until heated through.
