Ingredients
  

Brownie Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • ½ cup cocoa
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Icing Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup milk (canned or regular)
  • ¼ cup cocoa (for icing)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • Pinch of salt

Preparation

  • Mix all the brownie ingredients in a bowl until everything is well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and spread it out evenly.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 20–25 minutes. Begin checking them after 20 minutes to avoid overbaking.
  • While the brownies are baking, whisk together the icing ingredients in a separate bowl until smooth.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely after baking, and then spread the icing over the top.

Notes

Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for 4 to 5 days. They can be frozen for up to 3 months. Make sure to measure your ingredients accurately for best results. You can add chocolate chips or different nuts for extra flavor. Don't overbake; they should be soft in the center.
