Ingredients
  

For the Cocktail

  • 1 large large ripe mango (1 1/4 cups of flesh) Select a ripe mango for the best flavor.
  • 90 ml white rum (I use Bacardi)
  • 2 tbsp sugar syrup (adjust to taste) Add more or less based on your sweetness preference.
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 heaped cup ice cubes (or 1 cup crushed ice), plus more to serve Use more ice for a slushier drink.

For Garnish

  • to taste strawberries For garnish.
  • to taste lime slices For garnish.
  • to taste mint For garnish.

Preparation

  • Start by placing your glasses in the fridge to chill while you prepare the cocktail.
  • In a blender, combine the mango flesh, white rum, sugar syrup, fresh lime juice, and ice cubes. Blend until smooth. If you want a slushier drink, add more ice and blend again.
  • If you don’t have a blender, you can mash the mango in a bowl, then mix it with rum, sugar syrup, lime juice, and crushed ice in a shaker. Shake well to combine.

Serving

  • Pour the Mango Daiquiri into the chilled glasses. Add extra ice if desired.
  • Garnish with fresh strawberries, lime slices, and a sprig of mint for a pretty presentation.

Notes

Mango Daiquiris are best enjoyed fresh. If you have leftovers, store them in the fridge for a few hours but keep in mind that the ice may melt and dilute the drink. For longer storage, freeze the mixture in an airtight container without added ice and blend with fresh ice before serving.
