Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz fettuccine or spaghetti pasta
  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup sun-dried tomatoes chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil chopped
  • Extra Parmesan for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1/2 cup pasta water.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add garlic and cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  • Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, sun-dried tomatoes, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer.
  • Add Parmesan cheese and stir until sauce thickens slightly (about 3-5 minutes).
  • Return cooked shrimp to the skillet, add cooked pasta, and toss everything together. Add reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and extra Parmesan. Serve immediately!
