Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pieces lime wedges Freshly cut
  • 3-4 leaves mint leaves Fresh for best flavor
  • 1 tablespoon white or brown granulated sugar Adjust sweetness to taste
  • 1.5 oz Bacardi silver rum Or any good quality white rum
  • 6 oz club soda (chilled) For topping
  • Crushed Ice For serving
  • 1 piece additional lime wedge For garnish (optional)
  • 1 sprig mint For garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a metal cup, place two lime wedges, torn mint leaves, and sugar. Muddle together with a wooden spoon.
  • Pour rum over the top and muddle some more.
  • Pour 4 ounces of the chilled club soda over the muddled mixture and swirl gently.
  • Pour into a glass filled with crushed ice.
  • Top the glass with the remaining club soda.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge and a mint sprig if desired.

Notes

Mojitos are best served fresh. If you have leftover ingredients, store them separately. Lime juice can be kept in the fridge for a few days, but the mint leaves will wilt. Prepare a new batch when you’re ready to enjoy your Mojito again. Use fresh mint leaves for the best flavor.
