  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts) Use your favorite nuts.

Cream Cheese Mixture

  • 1 package cream cheese, softened (8 oz) Ensure it is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 box powdered sugar (16 oz) Adjust the amount for sweetness.
  • 1 large egg

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, and 2 large eggs. Mix until well blended.
  • Stir in the chopped nuts.
  • In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add the powdered sugar and the additional large egg; mix until well incorporated.

Baking

  • Grease a baking pan and pour half of the cake batter into the pan.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the batter.
  • Pour the remaining batter over the cream cheese layer.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool before serving.
