  • ¼ cup cocoa powder Adds chocolate flavor
  • cup sweetener (maple syrup, coconut sugar, or erythritol) Adjust sweetness to preference
  • 2 tablespoons milk or oil (optional) Enhances creaminess

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Spread the raw hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast them for 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown.
  • Wrap the roasted hazelnuts in a towel and rub them together to remove the skins.

Blending

  • Place the roasted hazelnuts in a high-speed blender or food processor and blend until it becomes creamy nut butter.
  • Add cocoa powder, your preferred sweetener, and optional milk or oil, then blend until smooth.

Notes

Store in an airtight container. If using milk, refrigerate it for up to two weeks. For longer shelf life, store without milk at room temperature for up to two weeks. Freezing is also an option.
