  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats Use quick-cooking for best results.

Preparation

  • In a medium saucepan, mix ½ cup of butter, ½ cup of milk, 1¾ cups of sugar, and 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder over medium heat. Stir until everything is melted.
  • Let the mixture boil for exactly one minute. This step is key for the right texture.
  • After removing the saucepan from heat, add ½ cup of Nutella and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
  • Slowly add 3 cups of quick-cooking oats, ensuring that they are well mixed into the dough.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto wax paper to form individual cookies.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before enjoying.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to four days. They can be frozen for up to three months with parchment paper between cookies.
