  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup cream
  • 8 oz pasta of choice Adjust cooking time based on the type of pasta used.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Preparation

  • In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
  • Add the ground beef to the pot, cooking until it is browned.
  • Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, and pasta. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the pasta is cooked.
  • Stir in the cream and season with salt and pepper.

Serving

  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers, spinach, or mushrooms. For a thicker sauce, simmer without the lid to reduce liquid. Substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
