Main Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets about 6 ounces each, skin on
- ¼ cup unsalted butter softened
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Cooking
Prep. Heat the oven to 400 degrees F, line a sheet pan, and pat the salmon dry.
Mix the butter. Stir the butter, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Coat. Spread the butter over the fillets and place them skin side down on the pan.
Bake. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the fish flakes and reaches 145 degrees F, then rest for 2 minutes.
Substitutions: Use salted butter and skip the added salt, or add smoked paprika and fresh herbs on top.
Tips: Pat the fish dry so the butter clings and check the temperature at the thickest part.
Storage: Refrigerate for up to 3 days. Do not freeze. Reheat to 165 degrees F.
