Preparation

  • Start with fresh salmon fillets, with skin on for extra flavor. Rinse them and dry with paper towels.
  • Season with olive oil, garlic, herbs, and lemon juice.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Baking

  • Put the seasoned salmon on a lined baking sheet or greased dish.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, based on the fillet’s thickness. Cook for 4-6 minutes per half-inch. Use a meat thermometer to check for 145°F (63°C) internal temperature.

Garnishing and Serving

  • Garnish with fresh herbs and lemon wedges. Serve with steamed veggies or a light salad.
