  • 1 cup Milk (your choice: almond, soy, regular, oat) Use any milk of your choice.
  • 1 tablespoon Chia seeds Optional, for thickening.
  • 1 tablespoon Sweetener (honey or maple syrup) Adjust to taste for sweetness.
  • 1 pinch Salt Important for flavor.

Variations (Optional)

  • 1 tablespoon Peanut butter Add for Peanut Butter Banana flavor.
  • 1 medium Diced apple Add for an Apple Cinnamon flavor.
  • 1 cup Frozen berries Add for a Berry Burst flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Cocoa powder Add for Mocha flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a jar or container, mix together rolled oats and milk, ensuring there are no dry oats left on top.
  • Add chia seeds, sweetener, and a pinch of salt, if using. Stir well.
  • Cover the jar and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 6 hours.

Serving

  • In the morning, stir well before eating. If it looks gloopy, it will loosen up with mixing.
  • Add any desired toppings, such as fruits or nuts, before enjoying.

Notes

Overnight oats are a versatile breakfast option that can be made in advance for busy mornings. Store them in the fridge for up to 5 days, adding toppings just before serving for optimal texture.
