Ingredients
  

For the Cod

  • 4 fillets cod fillets Choose fresh or frozen cod fillets.
  • ½ cup almond flour A gluten-free option for coating.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds flavor to the cod.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Enhances the taste.
  • to taste salt

  • ¼ cup cooking oil Use avocado or peanut oil for frying.

Preparation

  • Rinse cod fillets under cold water to remove impurities.
  • Pat the fillets dry with a paper towel.
  • Trim off any dark sections or bloodlines.
  • Slice the fillets into 4 to 6-ounce portions.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium to medium-high heat (350°F to 375°F).
  • Coat the cod fillets in almond flour mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Fry the cod for about 4 to 5 minutes per side until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  • Remove from skillet and allow to rest briefly before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes wrapped in foil to retain moisture.
