Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds lean ground beef
  • 2 pieces bell peppers
  • 0.5 pieces yellow onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 4 slices Provolone cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 0.25 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×9 baking dish with non-stick spray.
  • Chop the bell peppers and onion. Mince the garlic.

Cooking

  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  • When the beef is nearly cooked, add the chopped peppers, onion, garlic, and seasoned salt. Cook until the beef is done and the vegetables are tender.
  • Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
  • Transfer the beef and vegetable mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  • Tear the Provolone cheese slices and place them over the beef mixture.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the beef and cheese in the baking dish.
  • Bake for 35 minutes or until the eggs are set.
  • Let the casserole cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

To serve, cut into squares and serve warm. Great with a side salad or crusty bread. For storage, let it cool completely, cover with plastic wrap or aluminum foil, and refrigerate for up to 3-4 days. Can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
