  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 buns brioche buns Toasted for serving

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 cup beef stock
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

  • Heat a big skillet over medium heat and melt two tablespoons of butter.
  • Add chopped onions and bell peppers, cooking until soft.
  • Add ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks for about 5 to 6 minutes until browned.

Creating the Sauce

  • In a separate bowl, mix beef stock, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder.
  • Pour sauce mixture over cooked beef and vegetables, leading to a simmer for 5 minutes.

Assembly

  • Toast brioche buns until golden brown.
  • Fill bottom half of buns with the beef mixture.
  • Top with provolone cheese slices, then place the top half of the bun on.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

Use different cheeses like shredded mozzarella or cheddar for added creaminess. Garnish with fresh parsley or sliced jalapeños for extra flavor.
