  • 12 large large eggs (hard boiled, peeled, and cut in half) Ensure eggs are fully cooked.
  • 1 cup mayonnaise (store-bought or homemade) For a creamier filling, add more mayonnaise.
  • 1 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese Experiment with different types of cheese if desired.
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 ounces chopped pimentos (drained, 1 jar) Save a few for topping.
  • to taste smoked paprika (optional, for topping) Sprinkle for flavor.
  • to taste green onions (thinly sliced; optional, for topping)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place the egg yolks in a bowl and mash with a fork.
  • Stir in the mayonnaise, cheese, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, pepper, and pimentos (save a few for the tops).
  • Spoon or pipe the filling into the eggs and sprinkle with paprika, if desired.
  • Add a few slices of green onion and pimentos to the tops of the eggs before serving.

Notes

Best served chilled. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 2-3 days.
