  • 1 loaf 1 bread loaf approx 30cm/12" long Use any type of bread like baguettes or ciabatta for variation.
  • 100 g 100 g / 1/2 cup unsalted butter Use unsalted butter for best flavor.
  • ½ tsp 1/2 tsp salt Adjust salt based on preference.
  • 3 cloves 3 garlic cloves, minced Approximately 3 tsp of minced garlic.
  • 200-250 g 2 – 2.5 cups (200 – 250g) mozzarella cheese, grated Can substitute with other types of cheese like cheddar or gouda.
  • Parsley, for sprinkling (optional) Fresh parsley adds flavor and color.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 160C/320F.
  • In a bowl, mix the butter with minced garlic and salt until combined.
  • Cut the bread in half horizontally.
  • Drizzle the garlic butter all over the bread, ensuring it is evenly covered.

Baking

  • Bake for 20 minutes until the edges of the bread are crispy.
  • Increase the oven temperature to 200C/390F and top the bread with mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake for another 7 to 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  • If desired, sprinkle parsley on top. Cut the bread into pieces and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for a few minutes for best texture. Experiments with herbs or cheeses can enhance flavor. Fresh garlic is recommended for optimal taste.
