Ingredients

For the Chicken Tenders

  • 2 lbs chicken tenderloins or boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into strips
  • 2 cups buttermilk for marinating
  • 1 teaspoon paprika for seasoning
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour for coating
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Preparation

  • Marinate the chicken tenderloins in buttermilk for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator.
  • In a bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, and coat each piece in the flour mixture.
  • Fry the chicken tenders in the hot oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes on each side.
  • Remove from oil and let drain on paper towels.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy!

Notes

These chicken tenders are best served hot. Pair them with your favorite dipping sauce, like ranch or honey mustard, for a tasty treat. You can also serve them with fries or a simple salad to make a complete meal. Leftover chicken tenders can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place them in the oven for a few minutes to regain their crispiness. For extra flavor, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the flour mixture. Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to avoid soggy chicken. Use a thermometer to check that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F.
