Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 flour tortillas 12 inch
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 8 oz deli sliced roast beef
  • ¾ cup crispy fried onions
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for brushing
  • 1 can beef consomme 10.5 oz
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp low sodium soy sauce
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Instructions

Cooking

  • Heat. Set the oven to 425 degrees F and line a sheet pan with parchment.
  • Layer. Top each tortilla with provolone, roast beef, and fried onions.
  • Roll. Roll tightly, seam side down, and brush with the olive oil.
  • Bake. Bake about 10 minutes until golden and 165 degrees F in the center.
  • Simmer. Heat the consomme, water, sauces, and powders in a pot until steaming.
  • Serve. Slice into pieces and serve with the warm jus for dipping.

Notes

Substitutions: Use Swiss or white cheddar instead of provolone.
Tips: Choose low sodium consomme and soy sauce because deli meat is already salty.
Storage: Refrigerate rolls and jus separately for up to 3 days and reheat to 165 degrees F.
