Ingredients
  

For the Green Beans

  • 1 pound fresh green beans or frozen green beans Fresh green beans preferred for best taste, but frozen can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Helps with roasting and adds flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For added savory taste.
  • 1 teaspoon salt To taste.
  • 1 teaspoon pepper To taste.
  • ½ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese Add on top before roasting.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Prepare a baking sheet by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper.
  • Wash and trim the green beans, then place them in a bowl.

Coating the Green Beans

  • Add the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the green beans. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the green beans and mix again.

Baking

  • Spread the green beans on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through for even cooking. Remove when tender and crispy.

Notes

For a twist, try adding balsamic vinegar just before serving.
